This interesting article popped up (dutch only, sorry) about Microsoft (and all non-eu) sovereign clouds, and what it boils down to: it’s a lie. If you as an EU individual, company, or worse, government, puts your data in any american owned (but the same applies to anything not EU) cloud, your data is up for grabs whenever the government of the parent company wants it. In the case of AWS, Azure and GoogleCloud: that’s Trump. (at time of writing).
Bottom line: don’t buy american folks.
